Jonathan Chao

Jonathan Chao is the founder and CEO of haven.tech, the network technology company that turns the servicing relationship into a customer-for-life one for mortgage brands and their servicing partners. He founded the company in 2020 on the belief that the servicing seat is the most valuable, longest-lived, and most under-monetized customer relationship in consumer finance, and that the industry has treated it as a cost center for thirty years.

Under his leadership, haven.tech has built a Portal, Wallet, and Network platform that embeds into any servicing stack, powers homeowner experiences under the brand’s own identity, and turns cross-sell, recapture, and retention into a new profit center for lenders and sub-servicers. The platform serves millions of homeowners across dozens of brands, either directly or through sub-servicer relationships. haven.tech was named PropTech’s Digital Mortgage Innovation of the Year in 2024 and a HousingWire Tech100 honoree in 2023 and 2024.

Jonathan is a product and technology operator by background, with prior work spanning consumer fintech, marketplace, and infrastructure companies.
