Sumanth Kamath is Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) of Newrez, a position he has held since December 2025. In this role, he oversees Design, Product Management, Development, QA, and Deployment across Newrez's Originations, Servicing, Sales Force, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Portals functions, guiding the technology and product strategy behind the company's core lending and servicing operations.
Sumanth is especially focused on embedding AI across the organization to drive productivity, efficiency, and a better experience for customers and employees alike. Prior to joining Newrez, he served as Chief Technology Officer of eXp Realty | eXp World Holdings, where he led a global technology organization supporting the world's largest independent real estate brokerage, serving approximately 84,000 agents across 27 countries, with additional oversight of the company's Data and Global Security functions.
Before that, Sumanth held Senior Vice President and Vice President roles in Product & Technology at Xome, a Mr. Cooper Group company, and earlier served as Director, Product & Tech at Internova Travel Group. He began his career at Sabre, where he spent 15 years advancing through roles in software development, program management, and delivery leadership.
Sumanth holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, India.
